Sunday Stills - Potluck

This is for Sunday Stills and the theme is "Potluck" in other words, whatever takes our fancy.  I was walking with my three year old son along the gravel road and Oberon was peeking at us through the fence in the shed.  I looked away for a few seconds and Oberon was gone... I guess he thought I wanted to work with him and he had other ideas.  I'm glad I snapped this photo when I did as I loved the coloring and play of sunlight and shadows.

The horizonal lines of the planks are very eye catching and make for a cool photo! Of course, the focal point is that awesome looking horse!!

Very nice shot- almost monochromatic harmony.

Hey there from NZ ....just found your blog and thought would drop you a line to say I love your photography ....and your horses. Isn't it wonderful when you can combine the love of horses with that of art. I paint and draw when I have time too.I look forward to reading more and enjoying your fabulous photos

Love the way the wood matches the horse's coat. Nice shot :)

Love the way the light plays on the colors. Wonder what he's thinking?

I was so glad I had my camera with me. As if often the case, when I see scenes like this my battery is either dead or my camera is not with me.

Debi - Well, I think he was thinking it was too hot to "work" as the next time I looked up he was in the back of the paddock. Usually, though, he does not run away at all - he usually raises his head and waits for me. I am hoping that one day he will walk towards me.
