They finally meet. (Sebastian on the left, Cleopatra on the right)
Cleo flirts
She pretends disinterest
All the while, Sebastian plays it "cool" (which means he is not sure what is going on, right? :)
And she sticks her nose in the air... Now, is that not just like a woman who IS interested?
Cleopatra is Kate Cooler's 1/2 Friesian, 1/2 Arabian mare. Sebastian is my horse, 1/2 Friesian, 1/2 Quarter Horse. He is in his second month of training with James Cooler
Sebastian is just lovely! I typically don't like the crossings of baroque breeds with Quarter horses but he is gorgeous. Do you have any recent videos of him?
ReplyDeleteHorsemom - Thanks! I will be putting one up in a couple of weeks! :). Yes, when I first heard of the mix I wasn't sure myself. But he really looks more Friesian and his brain is the best of both worlds it seems. Time will tell. I don't have a recent video and I think I will try to do that in the next few weeks. He is being trained (a lot of ground work right now) but it would be fun to see the progression and he is a fun mover...
ReplyDeleteTalk about an expressive face!
ReplyDeleteSebastian is one handsome dude- of course she was interested!
ReplyDeleteThat's my Kleo! Thanks for capturing this. She has been eyeing up Sebastian since he first got off the trailer and we were riding in the arena... she always plays hard to get. They did great together on the trail. Sebastian is very confident!
ReplyDeleteSo cute, I love the one where she is touching him:)
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful horses. And of course the mares always pretend disinterest. Great pictures and the beginning of a wonderful friendship I'll bet.
ReplyDeleteI can see a squeal and stomp coming on;)))
ReplyDeleteBet he'll come around.
ReplyDeleteThey are both so pretty!
They are both gorgeous! I love how much Sebastian took after the Friesian, you lucky girl. :) I love Chrome even though he took more after his other half. I can't wait to hear more about his training.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHA! What a darling couple. :)
